He noted that the Central Bank continues to develop regulatory policies that support innovation, while ensuring consumer protection, contributing to the provision of an environment conducive to the growth of fintech and the development of innovative digital financial solutions.
He also pointed out that the festival aims to enhance cooperation among financial institutions, startups, and regulatory authorities, and to link financial innovation with the actual needs of markets, providing startups with greater opportunities to reach investors, markets, and potential partners.
The organization of the festival, which is organized by the Central Bank of Jordan in partnership with the Association of Banks in Jordan and in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), comes as part of efforts to strengthen the fintech ecosystem in the Kingdom, support digital transformation and financial inclusion, and consolidate Jordan’s position as a regional hub for fintech and innovation.
Over two days, the festival brings together decision-makers, leaders of banks and financial institutions, regulatory authorities, startups, investors, and technology companies, with the aim of exchanging expertise, discussing the rapid developments in the financial services sector, and exploring opportunities for cooperation, investment, and partnerships.
The festival’s program focuses on a number of key areas shaping the future of the financial sector, including digital payments and digital transformation in the banking and financial sectors, Open Finance, digital assets and blockchain technologies, embedded finance, banking as a platform, as well as entrepreneurship, investment, and the development of the startup ecosystem.
